Presently we do not have any policy I
guidelines for refund of fees paid by participants in case
of
cancellation of their participation. On checking with HoDs,
the following actions are taken as on date:
Full Refund in case of cancellation by the participant.
In case of Agri programs no refund is given in case
cancellation is done by the participant. In some cases,
the full refund is given provided the cancellation
request is received two days in advance.
Replacement of Candidate by another person is allowed.
No deductions are charged. No percentage basis
cancellation charges are levied depending
on time I date of cancellation vis-a-vis the date of the
program/ event.
Full Refund is given in case the program or event is
cancelled due to any reason by the
chamber or registration is permitted for the new date
with the same money.
Regarding approval process for refund, such cases are
put up for DG's approval and then
the payment I refund is made.
GUIDELINES/ PROCEDURE:
The cancellation request day will be the next working
day if the request made is on MCCIA holiday or after
working hours of MCCIA. For e.g. Cancellation is
received by mail at 2000 hrs on Friday evening, and
MCCIA has holiday on Saturday & Sunday, the date of
cancellation request will be considered as the date of
Monday.
The participation fees paid by participant (member as
well as non-member) will not be adjusted against any
other course I program/ conference/ training including
registration fees for same program, if repeated again or
against any other dues or membership fees. In case the
participant is not able to attend the program, as there
will be no refund (between 1 to 07 days before the date
of the program), he/ she is permitted to nominate
another person in his place for the same program/ event/
conference.
If the paid program I event/ conference is cancelled by
MCCIA due to any or unforeseen reasons, 100 %
participation fee including taxes, will be refunded to
the customer after due verification of receipt of
participation fees by the Accounts Section. In case the
program is postponed by chamber due to any reason, then
the participant I delegate will have the option of full
refund or replacement by another participant or
continuation of his registration for the fresh date.
Early bird discount is permitted varying from 5% to 10 %
discount (or a round figure amount not exceeding 5/10%)
at the discretion of the HoDs/ Program Coordinator. Such
discount is applicable if the payment is received
(meaning credited) 10 days prior to the date of the
program.
A discount of 10 to 25 % to members of the chamber
vis-a-vis the non-member participation rounded off to
nearest hundred can be done at the discretion of the
HoD/ Program Coordinator.
Group Discount: 5% discount for two participants and 10
% discount for three or more participants of the same
company/ organisation. Further 10% discount for a group
of three or more individuals booking and paying the fees
in one go.
In case of refund asked by one of the participants who
has availed group discount, then in case after his
deduction, the group discount reduces or is not
applicable then the proportionate group discount will be
reduced from the refundable amount in addition to
deduction of taxes, admin and payment gateway charges.
Both Early bird discount and group discount (mentioned
in para (e) and (g) above) cannot be
clubbed. It can be either of the two.
For on the spot registration, levying of extra charges
between 5 to 10 % or at the same rates
as standard rates for the program can be at the
discretion of the HoD/ Program Coordinator.
In case of excess payment or duplicate payment by an
individual or company then refund for ,
excess amount can be actioned after due verification by
Accounts Section.
In case of payment being made by Cheque and the cheque
bounces due to any reason, an additional charge of Rs
250/- will have to be paid by the participant. Further
in case of cheque bounce, the participant will not be
eligible for any discount.
All budget approvals including early bird discount,
group discount, membership discount and spot
registration charges as well as refund actions will
follow the existing approval procedure (approval by DG).
NOTE:MCCIA reserves the right to cancel
the bookings in case of exigency and/or to make necessary
changes in the terms & conditions from time to time.
