About the Award

The MCCIA Award for Sustainability recognizes companies that have pioneered unique sustainability initiatives driven by active employee engagement. These initiatives may include waste elimination, the development of sustainable products and technologies, and other impactful efforts led by company employees.

Many companies have already embraced employee-led sustainability practices, such as eliminating plastic water bottles, adopting electric vehicles, banning single-use items, promoting cycling, and transitioning to paperless administration. These best practices should be encouraged and replicated widely. Additionally, it is crucial to reward companies that develop products and technologies that not only drive business success but also contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.

We believe that by honoring such companies and sharing their best practices, we can accelerate the adoption of circularity and reduce environmental impact. This initiative also supports efforts to foster behavior change among the broader population to minimize negative environmental effects.
